Congratulations on becoming a vegetarian...now shut up and let me eat my pork chops in Peace!

I'm glad when someone finds something in life that gives them purpose...gives them satisfaction in life.

However, I am no longer glad when that same person decides that the whole world should be just like him or her and that s/he/it is going to protest and make a nuisance of themselves to stop "(enter political/spiritual agenda of your choice in the space provided)____________________".

Vegetarianism, as a discipline, is highly respectable and I don't begrudge anyone who became a vegetarian because they "felt like it, and it works for them". Good for you! You are on the Good Path.

Those Vegetarians who believe that being veggie makes one morally superior to those who would dare to eat meat, on the other hand, have unknowingly booked passage on "The Sanctimonious Hypocrite Scumbag Express". And there are plenty of seats on board! This train is always on schedule!

The same judgemental people who become militant "veggie-totalitarianists" are also of the same fabric of the "prayer in schools", "Pro-Life/Bomb Iran", "we have the freedom to be us - now assimilate or die in the name of our Cause" "Ban Same-sex marriage"- scumbags that they try to distance themselves from.

They don't eat meat, therefore they are more civilized...oh yeah? Explain the Caste system in India, for example! Not very civilized, are they? They don't eat cows, but allow others to die because they are "too poor" to interact with! Real Classy! Look it up under "28 year old woman dies with newborn because of being 'untouchable'." The medical staff wouldn't even touch her because she was so low in caste! Hindus don't traditionally eat cows or any other animals, but too many of them follow the caste system. I only need one example to deflate the self-righteous delusion that vegetarianism = instant spiritual supremacy!

It matters not.

Once I see a pale, malnourished, sickly "activist" applaud the death of someone who dares to hunt seal or eat a steak, I know straight away that these "well-intentioned" souls are every bit as capable of committing violence against another person as the other scumbags who court violence in the pursuit of their own agendas.

Greenpeace and PETA are , in my eyes, becoming (by example) every bit as vile and repulsive as the Neo-Nazis, Al-Qaeda, The Religious Right, The Neo-Conservatives, The Conservative Party of Canada , The Liberal Party of Canada and (my favourite villains) The Republican/Democratic Parties of the used-to-be-great-United States. All that really matters to the above-mentioned is the vast accumulation of wealth, power and influence.

When will these brainwashed/unwashed masses realize that there are places on this planet that can't grow vegetables year round? Northern Canada is remote, cold and the people get by on a livelihood that they've known all their lives and cannot/will not successfully adjust to a "civilized" way of life in some city somewhere. Firstly, they would have to be relocated. Secondly, they would have to be, through a period of years, trained to adapt to a community that will always see them as "outsiders". Then they'd have to be trained to live and work in a world that depends upon the whims of City Hall, as opposed to the laws of Mother Earth. All this misery, because some squeamish whining wastes want to feel better about themselves by dictating how others should live!

One of they greatest arguments against animal products by these "enlightened souls" is that we have man-made fibers that can replace animal hides and fur. Oh sure, let's save the environment by wearing toxic plastic clothes and footwear that simply accumulates in landfills, rather than animal products that in time (after years of use) can be composted in the back yard. How green of them!

Do they not know that to recycle plastic requires a dose of fresh petrol-chemicals!?

These loons would rather us poison our air and water with petrol-chemical clothing, than hunt/grow/harvest an animal for food/clothing that does not. All because the propaganda engine cherry-picks these talking points for the zombies to mumble while sending vast amounts of cash to organizations that really stopped giving a damn about saving anything but their bottom line years ago! They're being lied to and used in the pursuit of money!

Always forgetting that plants are organisms too, these morally superior plant killers wouldn't know a plant in distress if science told them. I guess because they can't hear vegetables scream, it's okay to brutalize them in the salad-making process or when slaw-ing them alive...

What happens when science proves that plants are indeed sentient?

No matter what we do to nourish our bodies, we have to kill something in the process...Accept it!

The only thing I agree with those "enlightened warriors of truth" about is the crime of Factory Farming.

It is animal abuse, to be sure. It is an abuse to the whole ecosystem without a doubt. But it isn't like we as consumers are getting away with allowing such abuse to happen. The Growth-hormones, the Antibiotics, the Animal waste present in the final product as well as flowing into rivers and water tables...and worst of all, sick animals being processed, and worse, fed to the other animals to "save a buck". If we are buying fast food or meat in bulk that has been commercially distributed, we have been (and are) filling our own bodies with the same vile stuff that we pump into our food animals. Think about it!

Factory Farming is bad for the consumer, bad for the animal, and worst of all, horrible for the farm labourer, Meat processing labourer, etc. so long as big business is allowed to cut corners and abuse its labour force. This is the price of a "Free Enterprise" system (which is worthy of its own rant!).

The best way to combat Factory Farming is to buy local...yes, it may cost more, but it tastes better and you are getting quality over quantity...one needs to think of what one is losing rather than gaining when chicken breasts are bigger than Pamela Anderson's! And guess what? Both are artificially inflated! Ewww gross indeed!

Go to local burger joints if they're still in existence...sure, you can get five cheeseburgers for under three bucks at McDonald's, but you are paying a heavier price for the bargain you're getting...better yet, make your own burgers with ground beef from a local butcher!

While we're on the subject of animal abuse, I will briefly mention the movement to subject dogs and cats and other animals of prey to a specialized vegan diet..that's how insane the "Meat is murder" crowd are! They are willing to punish their pets by denying them their natural tendencies!

Now,I love meat! I love roasting it, cooking it over a flame, Sausages, Burgers...I will not eat Bologna or Hot Dogs anymore - The mystery of Love means more to me than Mystery Meat! I switched from fried chicken to rotisserie chicken which is so much better in flavour and health value! I love Dairy Products too! I still eat Fish 'n' Chips maybe once per year. I eat a fair amount of pork and chicken!

One Vegan-SS activist said how happy she'd be the day I died of clogged arteries from my consuming murdered animals. Maybe so, but the hate she embraces will consume and kill her faster and more painfully than my BBQ pit will ever do to me! She probably already has health issues from her hate that she attributes to something else.

Attitude is everything!

I do love veggies too. Too many to mention at that!

I'd like to think that I've been a "live and let live" type most of my life. Granted, I've only recently started a relationship with a positive attitude, myself, and I hope it sticks. I try to see the good in others, but sometimes there simply is none to find.

Regardless, there will come a time when meat isn't as plentiful as it used to be. The only way these meat industries have been sustaining themselves, is through fossil fuels...we are running out. More importantly, fuel prices are skyrocketing, which is affecting the price of grain, which will make factory farming impossible to be profitable. Consumption will drop as well, because the human population will drop drastically! Many of us will have to grow/raise our own food pretty soon. I have four acres, and I can learn to hunt as well. We are omnivores for a reason.

Vegetarianism, in the West, is a lifestyle that generally relies on convenience/shipping/mass growing of crops (equally prone to abuse as animal farms!). When infrastructure collapses, how will you get your food? The "uncivilized" denizens of the North went to the sea or woods to hunt for food, because they couldn't eat bushes or plankton with much success. That's why there 's wild game. Wild game processes that which we cannot.Remember the Circle of Life from "The Lion King"? Unless one lives somewhere that easily allows the growing of all essential crops for the healthy vegetarian lifestyle there's going to be a need for meat, fish or eggs.

Now, in the unlikely event some nice tolerant loving Vegan has read this post and feels hurt somewhat, please don't...if you are what you are by your own choice and don't push it on others, you are not the subject of this rant. If you were, you wouldn't have made it to the end of this post.

We only have ourselves to blame

The price of oil/gas/heating fuel/ energy - Skyrocketing!

We knew it was going to happen someday. Didn't the Jesus-Hating, Commie-loving, Pinko, Vegetarian, Gay-Marrying , Tree-Hugging Hippies tell us so?

Well, many people told us so from all walks of life, but were categorized as the above. Especially by those who were:

1) making TONS of money from the energy/auto Industry

2) too scared to see the Truth before them and closed their eyes thinking that would make it "all go away."

Well, you can clamp your eyes shut, stick your fingers in your ears while singing "LA-LA-LA I can't hear you, I can't see you therefore you don't exist!" but the monster under your bed is now on your bed, and it just ate the last slice of pizza in the fridge, drank the last of the orange juice drove all night in your SUV and used the last roll of toilet paper too! Hard times are coming, and you were warned!

We all were warned...as far back as the 1960's..heck even President Carter said that we'd be in trouble if we didn't get ourselves off the oil habit, back in 1976.
In appreciation for his brave and honest assessment, we voted for Reagan, who let the Status Quo continue. It continued to continue up through today with that idiot bastard son in the White House, who didn't think bombing Persia (where the oil is) would lead to painful consequences.

In the 1980's the last of the V-8 automobiles rolled off of the assembly line to make way for more fuel efficient four cylinder cars. Of course, in hindsight, it appears that the auto companies purposely screwed up the Four-cylinder cars to make us wish for the "good old days" when an economy car was 318cu in.

In the 1990's the first SUV rolled off the assembly line...My reaction to that was. "Gosh! who wants to own that gas-sucking thing?" The answer was millions of stupid people who wanted to feel safe in oversize esteem-building tanks that were only used to commute through city traffic (with the least gas efficiency rating!).

Then, in the 2000's, The Hemi V-8 returns from the 70's! Why? Did we feel guilty about having some of the lowest gas prices in the world here in North America? And still the stupid people went in droves to buy these stupid cars to feel "strong" and "safe" or "secure" or to "get respect" and other completely pathetic reasons, born of the obscene consumerist culture, "you are nothing unless you have the latest thing!".

"All of a sudden", gas prices are rising ever higher. "How did this happen!?" the stupid people cluck.

I've heard every excuse in the book why people bought those fuel guzzling cars instead of the economy cars. No excuses! Now you really have to pay for your stupidity!

Others will have to pay as well. For example, the people who have businesses that rely on vehicles like Taxis, Buses, pickup trucks (and not for the mud-boggin' crowd, either!) and vans and Tractor-Trailers, Construction Equipment, etc.
Many of them will start going out of business because they won't be able to support their fleets. Maybe you work for one? Not for long! That's okay though, they won't be needed anyway once the infrastructure collapses. Public transit will be a thing of the past too, though it should have been the wave of the future!

But ya know what? There will be millions of innocent people who will pay more for the ego-driven pursuits of others.

The Poor will suffer the most. You know, those "bums" who are considered worthless because the don't have the means to find their way into a decent living because our collective selfishness and greed pushes them down further while we look down upon them with scorn? Many of them will indeed die...first in "underdeveloped" nations, who (let's face it) we don't give a fig about anyway, so what's the problem?

Then, the poor in our own countries will wither and die...first in "those other towns and cities", but then in our "own back yards". Once again, we don't give a fig, do we? "Better them than us" is something I hear too often!

Well here's the most delicious part! Guess who's going to replace them? That's right, oh great over-consumers with five maxed credit cards, you are the future Poor!

Bwaahh-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Welcome to the Hell of your own making! Are you listening to us Hippies Now!?

The warnings were there for decades! You wouldn't listen!

Where will you find food? Supermarkets won't exist!

Where will you live? If you can't pay your mortgage or rent, better look at the "plus side" of a tent city or shanty town! Primitive living will be the new chic!

Water Supply and Drainage will likely be the same thing! What's that? You only thought that happened in "uncivilized countries"? It's amazing how Civilization disappears when there's nothing to sustain it!

No Hospitals, No Fire Dept, No Police...

What a wonderful future you selfish twits have made for yourselves...Serves you right, you bums!

But let me stop pointing the finger at "you".

We are all in this together whether we want to be or not.

We are all to blame.

Those of us who knew this was coming have a fair amount of blame to share as well.

You see, We failed.
We failed to find a way to reach those of "you" who didn't/wouldn't listen!
Some of us quit trying to reach "you", because we got tired of arguing with the business end of a brick wall.
That is our Greatest Mortal Sin.
Many of "Us" quit on "You" because we decided it was better to let "You" learn "your" lessons on "your" own. "You" knew better and one day "you" would figure it out. "You" would end up paying for "your" mistakes.

To be honest, that was akin to leaving children to play with matches in a room full of explosives on board a ship in the middle of the ocean. If the ship goes up in flames, we all sink! But the lesson would be learned, no?

The currency used for "you" to pay for "your" mistakes, is All of Us! And that is too steep a price, thank you very much!

So where are We now?

We are standing at the edge of a cliff, with the ground crumbling below our feet. Behind us is a line drawn on solid ground and a sign posted that simply says "unless". Beyond that sign is safety.

We all still know what we must do, but will we?

I will do my part. I can only speak for myself. I am stepping away from the edge and moving towards the line behind me. But I'm still tied to "you" with a rope, and no matter how much I pull backwards, if "you" go over the edge, eventually I will too.

What will "you" do?

I trust We can work it out and make a better world for Us All.

The solutions are in front of us...we need only throw our "wants" off the cliff rather than follow them to the final consequence below.

Who is with me?

Seven Principles of Cosmic Spirituality, and what they mean to me....

I've been reading a very intriguing book as of late by Tom Harpur called "The Pagan Christ". It puts forth the not so new proposition that the New Testament and the whole story of Jesus was completely lifted from ancient Egyptian Mythology. Jesus himself never existed beyond a character in a story meant as allegory to find the "Christ " within. It further states that the Church early on turned the allegory into literal truth and the character of Jesus became a real "superman" we need to follow, rather than emulate. One can guess the trouble that resulted!

Those who dared to say "Ummm, What about...?" were branded (sometimes literally) Heretics. And Heretics became a reason to let the evil impulse of murder reign supreme with full approval from the "One True Church". But I digress...

This, however, should not take away from the Christian Faith. It should transform it. As an ex-Christian, I find the revelations within this book rather inspirational. As a Freemason, who works within the Allegorical Temple of Solomon, "...Pagan Christ" has actually sparked my interest in studying the New Testament with an allegorical approach rather than the "It is the literal truth and all who question shall burn in Wal-Mart, (OOPS!I meant ~*HELL*~!)".

Tom Harpur has a website:
http://www.tomharpur.com/

Within this website is a list of Principles. I really like these principles.
I would, however like to go over each one from my own perspective. That is why I am typing in blue-ish.

Seven Principles of Cosmic Spirituality

1. The entire cosmos is the manifestation of Divine Mind-every molecule, every cell, every creature, every rock, tree, mountain, planet, blazing star, whirling galaxy and universe of galaxies. In short, everything is connected.

2. We are all an integral, interconnected part of the whole cosmos and our own inner world is a holograph of the cosmos within us. Our bodies, our molecules, our very atoms conform to the laws of the Cosmos. The electrons orbit our nuclei. Quantum Science reveals a vast Universe within our bodies. We are self-aware. Does our Galaxy reside within a being equally self-aware? I have no doubt.

3. One basic datum underlies every religion under the sun, the principle of Incarnation. The Word or Logos, God's self-expression made manifest, has given the light of its divine spark to every mind/soul coming into the world. Christians call this the Christ or "Christ in us." Other faiths have different names or modes of expression for this same inner reality. Everything lives, everything has an energy field. We think, therefore, we are!

4. Every religion whose ethical core is summed up by the word "compassion" or "loving-kindness" to all other creatures without exception has a vision of the truth and is a valid "way" to Transcendence. It doesn't matter what faith one subscribes to so long as Love guides the way.In regard to loving all creatures, we still need to eat, and plants have feelings too. We need only accept our role on the Circle of Life and exercise as much respect towards that which we WILL eat, be it animal or vegetable.

5. No one faith or religion-whatever its claims may be, alone has The Truth. I attribute such behaviour to Spiritual Insecurity, either learned or acquired. Nothing extinguishes The Light faster than trying to decide where it should radiate and to whom.

6. True cosmic spirituality is steeped in, flows from, and derives its most powerful analogies and metaphors from the natural world -- from the tiniest bit of dust to the spiraling stars above. To Yoda listen! Feel The Force Around You! Yes, there is a great Spiritual message to be gleaned from the Star Wars Franchise (in between Epic Battles and Merchandising Campaigns). There is still a story: The choice between Good and Evil and the consequences of those choices. As well as learning to suppress fear. Be Not Afraid! Love Knows. Live Love. To Fear is to succumb to hate and then to suffering. Try Not! Do! Or do not...there is no "try"!

7. The core aim of cosmic spirituality is radical transformation, both personal and societal. Turn off your mind relax and float downstreammmmmm. As of this very moment, we as a society have lived within and continue to nurture the Myth that is Western Civilization. It is an Illusion most Foul. We work ourselves to death to save up for a Peace that will not come. Unless we practice Peace now we will never realize it. We terrorize ourselves with consumerism, class ism, racism, ism-schism.

We still are taught to value one another by:

What we get paid,
What we own,
What we drive,
What we wear,
What we eat,
Where we live,
What school we attend,
Who we choose for friends,
Who we choose to fall in love with…

And the advertising/entertainment industry drives home the notion to every one of us everyday that we suck unless we fit in, and those who don’t fit in are a threat to our very own ability at fitting in, or a threat to our safety.

And that lesson is shown in every home that has a television.

Not everybody learns the lesson…those who will not learn that lesson are “against” those who do.

This Lesson knows no Color Barriers, but promotes them…

This Lesson knows no Gender Barriers, but exploits them…

This Lesson knows no Cultural Barriers, but encourages them…

This Lesson knows no Economic Barriers, but maintains them…

This Lesson knows no Political Barriers, but shapes them…

This Lesson knows no Legal Barriers, but enforces them…

Some of us have learned The Lesson well..some of us reading this blog, and we don’t even realize it.

Come to the land of the ice and snow...

..and I say "WTF!"

Moncton, New Brunswick...the "City of No Expectations"!

says New Brunswick:

"We Need Immigrants! Now!"

Immigrants are reportedly going to fastrack to New Brunswick?

Oh, the Immigrants will fast track to New Brunswick, and then they will leave if they have any family connections elsewhere!

Greetings! I am one those skilled Immigrants that New Brunswick is screaming for..only now, I'm the one who is screaming!

I WAS in is the construction field, until I came here!

Moncton is so full of crooked contractors, I can't get an honest job!

I can however, work illegally "under the table" and risk deportation, but I choose to stay on the high road.

That doesn't stop many local people from working 'under the table' while collecting EI and complaining about immigrants "stealing" their jobs though!

For five years, I tried to get back into my trade of choice to complete my apprenticeship. I was 1-1/2 years away from getting my Electrical license. I was told that I would have NO PROBLEM finishing up here...I WAS NEEDED. I know better now. Of course the only contractors who want to hire me, want me to work illegally. "We'll see how it goes the first six months" they say, thinking I'm some local rube who has no knowledge of the Apprenticeship Laws of New Brunswick. As if I'm going to say "Duhhh! Okay!" . Unfortunately, there are too many people who do just that. I cannot compete with fools who are willing to put themselves at a disadvantage. That isn't to say that all contractors are crooked, only the ones who had an opening for me. It's going on seven years that I've been out of my trade. I see no point going back now.

Now when I complain about this, I get the "A-job-is-a-job-is-a-job-a-buck-is-a-buck-is-a-buck-Don't-you-want-to-work!?!?!" baloney that may have served New Brunswick well three generations ago, but folks, those days are long since passed...New Brunswick still suffers the fallout from the same ignorance and complacency that infested the Maritimes back then!
Worse, it appears that New Brunswickers look for security and comfort and have a sense of pride in that same loser attitude today! Ahh, the "Good Old Days" when an employer would abuse the workers and the workers would regret they hadn't been abused more.

And no, I don't find a reason to respect anyone who drops out of school today to work in a dying temp-industry because they have a family to support, or some other reason born of terminal stupidity! Ultimately when I work, my taxes are supporting these losers who gripe about me, the Immigrant Stealing Jobs they themselves are too stupid to get hired for because they quit school. " I hated School" is the mantra of so many dropouts...I hated it too! But I figured sleeping in my car was not an option!

To add insult to injury, these same loser dropouts know someone who can get them a job in construction for cash, so they don't have to pay taxes. But what happens thirty years down the road and it's retirement time? OOPS, no retirement! Why? The fools never paid into it! All the while, they think they got it good...until they get hurt on the job they shouldn't have been at, and the reality of working under the table comes home to roost sooner!! But hey, it's not what you know, it's who you know! And if it was good enough for their fathers to waste their potential by quitting school and pushing a broom, then by golly, it's good for them too! But you'd better be bilingual if you want to push that broom!

Take a long look at the construction going on in Moncton...If it's commercial, it's likely done by a company and crew from away...if it's residential, it's been slapped together by local guys who never graduated high school and the contractors are paying them nothing close to what they legally should. Of course, when the workers aren't on the books they need only shut up and be thankful they're getting paid cash. The contractors are cutting corners too. Just ask anyone who bought a Condo in Dieppe if they're happy with it. They were until it started falling apart!

Let me give you, dear reader (if any), an idea about what goes on in the trade of my choice (electrical) in these parts. When a house or some other electrical installation is completed it is supposed to be Megger tested. A Megger is a device that puts one million volts of electrical pressure in the circuits to test for any shorts in the circuits. Shorts that would result in Electrical fires. Too many Electrical Contractors in New Brunswick do not do megger tests, because "they know their work". If I handed you a pistol and told you that it was okay to hold it to your head and squeeze the trigger because "I know the chamber's empty", would you? Free Clue: the answer is "NO!". So, why is such an evasion of responsibility tolerated regarding electricity? It saves time which saves a buck. Life, apparently, is cheap. Shop Wal-Mart.

The Underground Economy, 60% illiteracy rate, incompetent governance and too much apathy about life in general in the people themselves, are making New Brunswick what it is today- the laughing stock of Canada, and the last stop before employers ship jobs overseas.

The only work I can find is temp work (which should be outlawed!) or the 12 week employment (which should be investigated!) that loves you the first 11 weeks, but fires you at the end of the 12th week with the worst excuses I've ever heard!

If my daughter weren't in a good school and my family within a good support network, I would have taken them West by now. Alberta is not the Golden Dream Easterners think it is however, and I will not subject them to that misery! So, for their benefit, I stay here. I'm sure I'll figure something out, but the Government of NB will not be able to take credit for it!

Bilingualism is somewhat of a problem but the racism is even worse, and I'm White!

My Family and I had to endure racial epithets from some militant Acadian Historian because we didn't speak French! He used to work at U de M (you lucky people)! He was a lovely neighbor! He would tell me to go back where I came from. My wife and daughter are Canadian, though...but in this troll's eyes we were all "les Anglais". He would steal stuff from our garage and put it in his garden...I would have to take it back and I finally had to put a lock on the door to keep him out...guess who had a fit? Yep, Him!
He said I locked the garage because I was a racist and I hated Acadians...no, it was because I was paying the rent on the garage, not him, and because he was a jackass! I'm still missing stuff that disappeared during that time. Welcome to Canada indeed!

So New Brunswick, It's time to get off the "Why is life so hard" pot, stop hoping us "Friggin' foreigners" will bail you out. Fix yourself, and stop lying to us to get us to come share in your self-made misery!

I know, I know..."Well if it's so bad, why don't you leave then, you foreigner loser-type-person!?!?" bleats the local ignorant yokel.

As I said above somewhere, my wife and daughter are Canadian and what they need on a personal level resides where we reside. Do you honestly think I'm going to let the Status Quo remain? No Sir! I will be a Citizen soon, and I Will get into Politics. And I will drag you dead woods kicking and screaming into the 21st Century, because my daughter deserves better than what many of you who have been born here settle for, or run away from! It Fight or Flight, and this Soon-to-be Canadian chooses to fight!
